Sri Lanka’s former President, Mahinda Rajapaksa was named as the new Prime Minister of the nation by current President and his younger brother Gotabaya Rajapksa on November 20. Mahinda Rajapaksa previously served as the President of Sri Lanka for two terms, becoming South Asia’s longest-serving leader.

Satya Nadella has topped Fortune’s Businessperson of the Year 2019. Overall, three Indian-origin people feature on the prestigious list including Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Master Card CEO Ajay Banga and Arista head Jayashree Ullal. While Nadella is ranked at the top, Ajay Banga is placed at the 8th position and Jayashree Ullal is ranked at the 18th position.

TRS MLA Ramesh Chennamaneni’s Indian citizenship revoked by MHA
The Union Home Ministry has revoked the Indian citizenship of TRS MLA Ramesh Chennamaneni for hiding facts regarding his foreign trips from the Indian government. The MLA allegedly acquired German citizenship secretly. The MLA has no past criminal records.
