Maharashtra Election Result 2019 Live Updates: The Maharashtra Election results 2019 will be revealed today, on October 24, 2019. The Election Commission will begin the counting of votes for the 288 constituent assemblies in Maharashtra from 8.00 am. A total of 3,237 candidates are contesting in the Maharashtra assembly elections. All exit polls predict a landslide win for the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance.
The main constituencies to look out for include Nagpur South West, Worli, Karad South, Bhokar, Baramati, Parli, Kothrud, Kankavali, Latur rural and Latur City. The key candidates include current Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, former Maharashtra CMs Ashok Chavan and Prithviraj Chavan, Aaditya Thackeray from Shiv Sena’s first family and sons of late Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh- Amit Deshmukh and Dheeraj Deshmukh.
If the projections of the exit polls hold true, then the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance will for the first time return to power in Maharashtra in consecutive terms. The NDA is projected to win around 213 seats in the former Congress bastion, while the UPA is projected to secure mere 61 seats.
