Chapter Notes and Summary
In this poem, Poet Robert Frost has just chosen three things of nature –a fearsome crow, a poisonous hemlock tree and snow flakes and with these limited number of things and a poem comprising of just seven lines, he shows readers that world should be viewed without prejudices and stereotypes for same poisonous tree and fearsome crow are able to bring a change in poet’s mood. It is hemlock tree that holds precious snow treasure, which falls as a snow dust shower later on poet.
Stanzawise Explanation of Poem
I.

The poem is full of symbolism and crow is a large black-bird that is a Scavenger. It provokes fear in human beings. Even, its shrill voice is not liked my many people. Similarly, hemlock tree is a poisonous tree also known as poison hemlock, devil’s porridge, beaver’s poison, etc. It has small white flowers. Its branches are all opened up to welcome both snowfeakes and crow alike. Similarly when world is covered with snow, nothing can be seen. dirt in street is covered. Dead plants, animals,houses all are covered with one white blanket and one thing can’t be distinguished from another. So, we should also new world in same manner without any prejudice.

The dust of snowfalls on Poet as crow shakes branches of hemlock tree. This snow shower changes poet’s mood. Half day was already gone, lamenting about something he did n’t like. other haef was saved eue to snow dust shower. It is same poisonous hemlock tree and fearsome crow which are able to bring a change in poet’s sad mood.
